We used to give project advice and lessons to, among others, projects at the University of Brussels, Wageningen University, Ecodorp Boekel, private tiny house builders, VWO and MBO schools in the region of The Hague, Warmonderhof, and some private initiatives . In addition, Strohplatz is almost monthly on a green festival or event (Dutch).
Since I started the course
Self-sufficient Off-grid, I am regularly asked for advice.
That makes sense, because not only is every situation different, but product-neutral advice is difficult to find, especially for tiny houses. In addition, in education - from MBO to university - attention is nowadays paid to sustainability, and sustainable knowledge or practical advice is indispensable for practicals.
The course "Self-sufficient Off-grid" explains exactly why you can't go all-electric off-grid with a tiny house, for example, but you can achieve almost 100% of your heat requirement with solar collectors. It also explains exactly why, for example, you should or should not heat with a stove. And you understand, for example, why you choose a compost toilet (or not) and how a helophyte filter works. For most people, this is exactly what they want to know to take next steps.
However, the course is commercially neutral. If you are going to be more practical, you may want to calculate the space, check your calculations for mistakes, or simply get some more commercial advice. Or maybe you don't have time for the course, just want to hear part of it, or want to meet at a different time. Or maybe you don't get everything explained to a contractor or plumber. Then I would be happy to help you with tailor-made advice.
Feel free to send an email to the email address at the bottom of the page for tailor-made sustainable advice.
